Matter Explorations
Grades 1-7
Using super-cold liquid nitrogen, household items and hands-on experimentation, your students learn how and why things change state. Students will identify the properties of these states of matter, broaden their conceptual understanding and develop a better sense of the physical world around them.
Electrical Energy: Jolts and Volts
Grades 4-7
Electrify your classroom! Students observe static electricity up close with the help of a powerful Van de Graaff generator. Students are challenged to transform energy to create circuits with a variety of unusual equipment. This program will get you and your students charged up.
Light and Sight
Grades 4-7
Models are everywhere in science. Your students will create and use models illustrating how light travels and how the eye works. Stations devoted to exploring the primary colors of light and reflections with a mathematical twist will have your students actively engaged in the study of light.
Investigations in Weathering, Erosion and Deposition
Grades 3-7
Students will investigate and identify the processes of weathering, erosion and deposition, observe patterns of erosion and patterns of deposition as they begin to develop an understanding of constructive and destructive forces in nature.
